NOR CNC Machine Operator 2 - 2nd shift

Essential Responsibilities:

In addition, the NOR CNC Machine Operator 2 will:

  • Ability and willingness to use basic hand tools and measuring devices (i. e. - dial calipers, rulers, tape measures, protractors, micrometers, gauges, etc.) as required within department
  • Basic understanding of blueprint and process sheet interpretation
  • Prior working knowledge of machine shop operations
  • Participate in team initiatives
  • Receive guidance from experienced employees
  • Ability and willingness to work 2nd shift
  • Operate CNC equipment
  • Operate any type and size of single spindle or multiple spindle on a variety of operations (drilling, reaming, boring, tapping, spot facing, countersinking, etc.)
  • Use all tools, jigs, fixtures, and gages necessary to perform operations
  • Work with close tolerances and fine finishes
  • Perform tool offset and load parts
  • Perform job responsibilities according to internal process specifications and third-party requirements
  • Utilize proper PPE, safety equipment, and follow safety procedures

    Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • 1-3 years machine shop experience in a manufacturing environment (Including Lean manufacturing knowledge)
  • Experience in a self-directed team environment
  • Lean manufacturing knowledge
  • This role is restricted to U. S. persons (i. e., U. S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U. S. C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment
  • Utilize proper PPE, safety equipment, and follow safety procedures
  • Ability and willingness to work 2nd shift (off shift)
  • Education and/or training in machine shop operations

  • Don't Be Fooled

    The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
