IT Systems Administrator II

 Maintains computing environment by identifying system requirements; installing upgrades; monitoring system performance. Responsible for installing, maintaining and upgrading server OS and software. Ensures appropriate data is backed up. Ensures server/application is secure from unauthorized access. Responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of the systems hardware and software. Manages all activities related to the operations and maintenance of company computers and peripheral equipment. Establishes schedules and procedures for maximum utilization of the system. Analyzes operating instructions and user needs to establish operating procedures and best practices. Installs, maintains, troubleshoots and upgrades computer hardware, software, personal computer networks, printers, and peripheral equipment. Provides and implements recommendations regarding hardware and software acquisitions. Participates in company business recovery planning and objectives. Education/Experience ? Bachelors degree or equivalent education and experience. ? 4 -6 years in Information Technology field. ? Industry certifications preferred. Skills and Abilities ? Basic knowledge of networking practices. ? Demonstrated knowledge of server hardware, peripherals, and software. ? Demostrated knowledge of Microsoft application software (ie: Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) ? Understanding of network security and auditing best practices. ? Demonstrated understanding of Microsoft and Linux PC and server operating systems. ? Basic project management skills. ? Effectively manage workload adjusting priorities as necessary to resolve unexpected issues. ? Ability to communicate effectively through either verbal or written formats as well as teach applications to peers and end users. ? Understanding of virtual environments and management of. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
